Instructions for Authors

International Journal of Advances in Pharmaceutical Research (IJAPR) is a peer reviewed monthly free accessing online journal publishes reviews, research articles and short communications. This journal publishes original research work that contributes significantly to further the scientific knowledge in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Research (Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Natural Product Research, Pharmaceutics, Novel Drug Delivery, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Medicinal Chemistry, Computational Chemistry,  Molecular Drug Design, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmacy Practice, Clinical and Hospital Pharmacy, Cell Biology, Genomics and Proteomics, Pharmacogenomics, Bioinformatics and Biotechnology of Pharmaceutical Interest).  The journal publishes original research work either as a full research paper or as a short communication.  Review articles on a current topic in the said fields are also considered for publication by the journal.

Types of manuscripts
Review articles should bring up the most important current topics or present interpretative and critical accounts, but not simple compilation, on subjects of general interest. They should be around 12 pages.
Research papers should present new experimental studies in elaborate form that constitute a significant contribution to knowledge.  Research Papers should not exceed 20 pages.  Short communications are the one that should present new important findings in brief, a maximum of 8 pages including illustrations.

Manuscript submission
The prepared manuscript should submit with covering letter, directly upload in the website www.ijapronline.org, otherwise you can send the manuscript and covering letter to the website   Mail I.D: editor@ijapronline.org

Manuscripts preparations
Prepare the manuscript in Times New Roman font using a font size of 12. Title shall be in a font size 14, bold face capitals. All section titles in the manuscript shall be in font size 12, bold face capitals. Subtitles in each section shall be in font size 12, bold face lower case. Standard International Units could be used throughout the text. Pages should not be numbered, manuscript should be starting with the title page and the text should be arranged in the following order:

  • Title page,
  • Abstract,
  • Introduction,
  • Materials and Methods,
  • Results and Discussion,
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements,
  • References,
  • Table and figures.

Title Page
The title must be as brief as possible, comprehensive and descriptive. Each author must provide their full name including their forenames and surname followed by their address in normal face lower case. The Corresponding Author of the manuscript must be mentioned the star mark in superscript and should be mentioned the authors affiliation with numbers in superscript. In addition the corresponding author must include telephone, fax and E-mail address at the bottom left corner of the title page. If any of the co-authors are from different organizations, their addresses too should be mentioned and indicated using numbers after their names.

Abstract and keywords
The abstract with keywords should be typed on a separate sheet. The abstract should include: the reason why the experiments were done, a very brief description of the experiments (including species, tissue, etc.), followed by the main results, and finally, a conclusion giving the relevance of the results to the question asked. The abstract must be completely self-explanatory. The abstract should not exceed approximately 300 words. No footnotes may be used and a reference, if cited, must be given in full. Standard terms and scientific nomenclature should be used. Abbreviations and contractions, except those for weights and measures and those explained, should not be used. Below the abstract, type 4-6 keywords or short phrases suitable for indexing. These terms will be printed at the end of the abstract. If possible, keywords should be selected from Index Medicus or Excerpta Medica Index.

Introduction
The introduction should not be an extensive review of the literature but should refer only to previous work which has a direct bearing on the topic to be discussed.  Should start on a new page and should clearly indicate the aim of the study.

Materials and Methods
The section Materials and Methods should include concise details on the methodology adopted, sufficient to repeat the experiment. Extracts and/or fractions tested for in vitro or in vivo biological activities should be chemically defined, at least by means of the results of preliminary phytochemical screening. Complete formulation details of all crude drug mixtures and extracts should be mentioned. The plant name should be fully mentioned when cited first, and the authors are asked to add the details regarding its identification, voucher herbarium specimen number and name of the herbarium institution where it has been deposited. The statistical method and the level of significance chosen should be clearly stated.

Results and Discussion
All results presented in tabular or graphical form shall be described in this section. All Tables and figures must have a title and a legend to make them self-explanatory and they should be given numbers. Tables and figures should be typed on separate sheets.  Should contain a critical review of the results of the study with the support of relevant literature.
Conclusion
Should be writing the conclusion relevant to the manuscript objective and mentioned the best activity concentration / optimized formulation / best scheme in chemistry.

Conclusion
Should be writing the conclusion relevant to the manuscript objective and mentioned the best activity concentration / optimized formulation / best scheme in chemistry.

Acknowledgements
All acknowledgments should be typed in one paragraph directly preceding the reference section.

References
The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the bibliographic information. References must be numbered consecutively in order of citation in the text. The References should be mentioned in the manuscript at the end of paragraph superscript.
